Ablative Insulating Coating
An ablative insulating coating is a type of specialty coating that is fire-resistant and fuses at very high temperatures. Ablative protects any part, assembly, structure, or area that will be exposed to a very high temperature -up to 6000* Fahrenheit for several minutes. Some examples are rockets or missile casings, directional fins, nose cones, engine nozzles and launch areas and equipment.
Gusco Silicone Rubber is an approved source for ablative coating.
